  12. I just tried to install my good old Supra 14.4 internal modem in a
  13. friend's Win95 box.

  15. I usually use COM3 and IRQ5 with no problem, but on this machine when
  16. I went to change the IRQ from its default of 4, Win95 said that the
  17. setting could not be changed!

  19. Why?

  21. This was after I had set the jumpers on the modem for COM3 and IRQ5,
  22. and let Win95 auto-detect the new port.

  24. I remember on =my= system being allowed by Win95 to easily the IRQ in
  25. the Device Manager.

  27. Does anyone know why a different machine would say the setting cannot
  28. be changed?
