-
- I just tried to install my good old Supra 14.4 internal modem in a
- friend's Win95 box.
-
- I usually use COM3 and IRQ5 with no problem, but on this machine when
- I went to change the IRQ from its default of 4, Win95 said that the
- setting could not be changed!
-
- Why?
-
- This was after I had set the jumpers on the modem for COM3 and IRQ5,
- and let Win95 auto-detect the new port.
-
- I remember on =my= system being allowed by Win95 to easily the IRQ in
- the Device Manager.
-
- Does anyone know why a different machine would say the setting cannot
- be changed?
-
- Thanks!
-
- - Owen.
